Picture speaks a thousand words?

I extended my feature on the Apperley Bridge story for Here & now! magazine today. My boss asked me to find pictures of the old Apperley Bridge railway station , and I couldn't believe how hard it was. It took me ages to find some pictures, and then when i eventually did, they were protected by Copyright. So to make sure i don't get sued, now I have had to email the owner of the pictures and ask their permission to use the pictures, but the story has to be out tommorrow, so I hope to God the copyright owner will give me the go ahead in the morning.

It is the same when i write articles for IBlog, but at least the deadline isn't as bad!

However, I did come across a useful website where you can buy pictures from them for as little as £3- a lot cheaper than a court battle as all journalists should know! The website is called Zengle and you can also sell your photos to them and get half of their selling price.

It's a bit like Ebay for pictures really, but without the bidding! Unfortunatley it didn't have any pictures that i needed- but the pictures i wanted would be a few centuries old, so basically they are pretty impossible to find! But i will keep this website in mind for future reference, as it does have a lot of quality modern pictures.
